Cabo San Lucas is located in the Baja California peninsula and is part of north-western Mexico. It is surrounded by the Gulf of California to its east and the Pacific Ocean to its West. The Baja California peninsula includes four huge desert areas and approximately 65 islands. It is rich in pure nature, wine yards, water sports, culture and relaxation. It also draws ecotourists who go whale watching, specifically for California Grey Whales. The Baja California peninsula is divided in two parts, the Mexican state of Baja California and Baja California Sur. The most exciting and widely visted tourist destinations is Cabo San Lucas.
